The joint Policy Brief by the Societal Resilience Cluster, to which the SYNERGIES project actively contributed, is now available.
Titled “Bridging Governance for Resilient Futures: Advancing an Integrated All-Hazards Approach Across Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Frameworks,” the document offers actionable recommendations to align and strengthen resilience strategies across Europe.
As climate change accelerates and disaster risks become more complex, working in silos is no longer an option. This brief highlights the critical need to bridge the governance gap between Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
The publication is the result of a massive collaborative effort. SYNERGIES joined forces with 11 other European projects to consolidate findings, share cross-cutting insights, and formulate policy recommendations. The drafting process was further enriched by insightful feedback from our European Commission colleagues.
We extend a special thank you to the lead contributors and to all the partners who made this joint effort possible.
We encourage policymakers, practitioners, and researchers to read and share the document widely.
